A busy commercial and industrial insulation and sheetmetal fabrication business based in Acacia Ridge, south of Brisbane, has a secure pipeline of ongoing project work and is taking on several experienced tradespeople across sheetmetal, cladding, insulation and ductwork.
About the role
The work covers pipe and duct insulation, sheetmetal cladding, and mechanical duct installation and fabrication (round and square) for commercial and industrial sites. With ongoing project work in place, several permanent, full-time positions are available across these trades.
What you will be doing
These roles suit tradespeople with a background in sheetmetal fabrication, duct installation, cladding or insulation, and the confidence to read a drawing and manage their own work once briefed. You will likely hold a relevant trade qualification (Certificate III in Engineering, Fabrication Trade, Sheetmetal working, or equivalent hands-on experience) and bring a safety-first approach to commercial and industrial sites.

- Installing sheetmetal cladding to pipes, ducting and insulated services to a high finish standard
- Fabricating round and square ductwork in the workshop, and installing it on site
- Applying pipe and duct insulation to commercial and industrial services
- Reading technical drawings and specifications and working from them with minimal supervision
- Marking out, cutting, shaping and joining sheetmetal and cladding materials
