Passive fire, lagging, cladding and sheet metal trades, Sydney $45 to $57 per hour (AUD), full time ongoing.
I am recruiting for a growing Sydney insulation, sheet metal and passive fire contractor with a strong pipeline of projects. These are not entry level roles. Each one needs proven hands on experience.

I am recruiting for a growing Sydney insulation, sheet metal and passive fire contractor with a strong pipeline of projects. These are not entry level roles. Each one needs proven hands on experience.
The deal
- All roles are full time and ongoing, with long term work
- Site roles: overtime, company vehicle available, equipment and work gear provided
- Workshop role: consistent workload and a well equipped workshop
- Passive fire technician: fire stopping and penetration sealing, installing fire collars, wraps and pillows, working with fire rated walls and floors, finding and fixing non compliant work, and completing quality records in CTRL Doc
- Lagger, sheet metal worker and cladder: insulating pipes and valves, fabricating and installing sheet metal cladding, working with fire rated walls and floors, and completing quality records in CTRL Doc
- Sheet metal factory worker: operating guillotine, pan brake and roll forming machinery, marking out and fabricating light gauge sheet metal, and operating a forklift as required
What I am looking for
- Substantial, proven experience in your trade
- Ability to work well with minimal supervision
- Attention to detail, safety and quality, and a reliable approach
- Site roles: current driver licence and White Card (construction induction card), and the ability to read construction plans
- Passive fire: knowledge of fire ratings and compliant installation. TBA Firefly, Trafalgar, Promat and BOSS experience is highly regarded
- Lagger and cladder: tier one project experience and the ability to spot and fix non compliant installations
- Factory worker: current forklift licence. Aluminium, galvanised steel, Zincalume and stainless steel experience is highly regarded
