Permanent Role | Brisbane North & Sunshine Coast


A respected, family-run plumbing company is seeking a Licensed Plumber to take the lead on  post-storm damage assessmentsroof inspectionsurgent make-safes, and  temporary repairs  across Brisbane’s northern suburbs through to the Sunshine Coast.


This role suits a qualified plumber who is confident working at heights, skilled in assessing storm-related damage, and comfortable preparing insurance reports to support customer claims. Once insurer approvals are issued, you’ll also assist in coordinating and completing the repair work.

What You’ll Be Doing Storm & Weather-Related Work

  • Conduct initial storm-damage assessments for residential and commercial properties.
  • Inspect roofs, gutters, flashings, downpipes, and stormwater systems for damage.
  • Complete  make-safe and temporary repairs  to secure properties and prevent further loss.
  • Provide clear documentation, photos, and site notes for insurance reports.
  • Prepare insurance claim assessment reports and liaise with the office for submission.
General Plumbing & Maintenance (as required)
  • Detect and repair leaks, burst pipes, and blocked drains.
  • Carry out hot water system diagnostics and replacements.
  • Perform jetting and CCTV inspections when required.
  • Communicate clearly with customers and maintain a high standard of workmanship.
What You’ll Need
  • Current  QLD Plumbing Licence (QBCC)  – Gas endorsement advantageous.
  • Certificate III in Plumbing or equivalent trade qualification.
  • Experience with roofing, storm damage, leak detection, or maintenance plumbing.
  • Confidence working at heights and diagnosing roof-related issues.
  • Strong written notes and photo documentation skills for insurance reporting.
  • Current driver's licence, hand tools, White Card, and valid Australian work rights.
  • Willingness to attend occasional after-hours or weekend storm-response work.
